Tinubu mourns ADC’s father, Oba Oyekanmi
President Bola Tinubu has expressed his condolences to the family of the late Elemona of Ilemona in the Oyun Local Government Area of Kwara State, Oba Yusuf Omokanye Oyekanmi.
The monarch is the father of the president’s Aide-De-Camp, Colonel Nurudeen Yusuf.
In a statement by his spokesman, Ajuri Ngelale, on Sunday night, Tinubu said Oba Oyekanmi’s passing leaves a huge vacuum in the repository of wisdom, integrity, and courage he embodied.
“Most importantly, President Tinubu celebrates the life of His Royal Majesty, who lived according to his unvarnished principles of devotion to the Almighty, honesty, diligence, and service to humanity.
“The President commiserates with the Royal Family, including his Aide-de-Camp, Colonel Nurudeen Yusuf, urging them to take comfort in the great legacy of the late monarch who lived a full life of accomplishments and impact.
“President Tinubu prays to God Almighty to grant rest to the soul of the departed and comfort to those in mourning,” the statement read.

Nigerian Army dismisses female soldier for stealing 'N35m gold jewellery' from General’s wife
Sources said Comfort entered the senior officer’s room and stole the jewellery, and subsequently sold it to a jeweller in Kaduna for N5 million.
A source said; “The army authorities have been careful over the issue because the general’s wife is a full housewife, so how come she has jewellery worth millions of Naira? The jewellery stolen by the soldier which was valued at N35 million was just part of her collections.
“The female soldier had long been monitoring the woman before stealing the jewellery worth N35 million which she later sold to one jeweller for N5 million but unfortunately she was caught.
“Sadly, most of these female soldiers have been turned into slaves by our senior officers’ wives. Now she has been dismissed and put in a cell.”
This follows reports that the army authorities dismissed three soldiers who were arrested by the police for armed robbery and kidnapping
