RB Salzburg vs Chelsea LIVE: Latest score as Gallagher, Pulisic and Havertz start for Blues

Chelsea hope to defeat RB Salzburg in the Champions League to book their place in the next round of the competition.

he growing momentum under Graham Potter was slightly halted on Saturday evening as Chelsea drew 1-1 at home to Manchester United when Casemiro scored a stoppage-time equaliser after Jorginho put the Blues ahead from the penalty spot. Potter and his side remain unbeaten in eight games since he took charge in early September.

Salzburg come into this fixture after a frustrating 0-0 draw at home to second in the league SK Strum Graz. The draw means Salzburg still lead the Austrian Bundesliga by two points.

A draw tonight could see the Blues into the hat for the last-16 draw.

Aubameyang denied [0-1]

Chelsea almost have a second as deflected header from Aubameyang is bouncing toward the far corner, but Kohn gets down well to push the ball away.

Goal Kovacic!

What a brilliant finish that is from Kovacic and Chelsea are ahead in Austria!

The ball rolls to the Croatian on the edge of the Salzburg box and he guides it into the top corner with his left foot.

Arsenal loan ace Folarin Balogun is one step closer to reaching goal after Lionel Messi response

Latest Arsenal news takes a closer look at how young striker Folarin Balogun is faring in France having joined Reims on a season-long loan deal during the summer transfer window

Arsenal striker Folarin Balogun's decision to join Ligue 1 outfit Reims on a season-long loan deal is looking like a masterstroke with each passing week.

Whilst spending the second half of last season in the Championship with Middlesbrough - helping to knock Tottenham out of the FA Cup along the way - was good for the youngster to get a regular taste of first-team in football, moving abroad this year is going to help him 'develop as a man'.

And it's Balogun's choice to leave London altogether and head to France which has impressed none other than Arsenal legend Thierry Henry: "Normally players are loaned either to another Premier League side or in the Championship," he told Prime Video Sport France last month.

"He’s a very English-style player who likes to run down the channels but he was missing something, which was his finishing. He's now starting to score goals regularly and I’m happy for that – happy he has gone abroad. It’s especially so considering he is a Londoner, in general Londoners struggle to leave London."

Clearly a big fan of the Arsenal youngster, Henry also sent a message to the 21-year-old, whilst quizzing the striker: "Hello big man, how are you? What are your goals this season?" he asked. "See you soon and hopefully you can be like this man [Muhammad Ali]. All the very best in that, ciao."

FRSC establishes mobile courts to prosecute traffic violators

The Acting Corps Marshall of the Federal Road Safety Corps, Dauda Biu, has directed the establishment of mobile courts across the states of the federation including Akwa Ibom to try road traffic violators during the  yuletide period.

He gave the directive during the ember-months’ Special Patrol flag-off rally which was held in the Ikot Ekpene Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State on Tuesday.

Biu, who was represented by Ekette Bassey, urged area commands of the FRSC to pay particular attention throughout the period to effective traffic control and look out for failure to install/use speed limiting devices by commercial vehicles and overloading.

Others are: lane indiscipline, driver license violation, removal of rickety vehicles on the road and other obstructions, driving with expired/worn-out tyres, and vehicles without spare tyres.

The Corps Marshall stated that the reason behind the measure was to cut down on road traffic crashes and the attendant loss of lives and properties usually experienced during the period.

“You are all aware that the Yuletide is one of the periods when Nigerians travel across the length and breadth of the country, especially the Christian faithful.

“The end of the year also provides opportunities for our sons and daughters to come home for family reunions, meetings, festivals, and ceremonies, just to mention but a few.

“Owing to this development, our roads have always witnessed high vehicular traffic congestion, gridlocks, road traffic crashes, and the attendant loss of lives and properties.

“This situation is further worsened by the excesses of motorists along our corridors which leave horrifying nightmares in the minds of stakeholders, travellers, government, etc.

“I direct that mobile courts sittings be conducted throughout the period across the federation.

“All patrol vehicles, ambulances, tow trucks, motorbikes, and other operational equipment in the categories of radar guns, and all other operational logistics materials have been fully deployed for the exercise.”

He noted that the Corps will be embarking on the patrol in collaboration with the Nigerian Army, the Nigeria Police Force, among other sister security agencies.

In his remarks, the State Sector Commander of the FRSC, Matthew Olonisaye, explained that the ember-months’ campaign was to erase the menace of traffic indiscipline.

He called on motorists to reduce speed, avoid overloading and change all worn-out tyres to prevent death and serious injuries on, particularly, pedestrians and other vulnerable road users as the Yuletide season is drawing close.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek reveals the Chelsea impact Graham Potter had when replacing Thomas Tuchel

Ruben Loftus-Cheek has revealed that Graham Potter has brought freshness to Chelsea since arriving in September, and the midfielder believes his teammates have benefitted from individual chats with his head coach.

Loftus-Cheek has started five of Potter's eight matches in charge so far and only missed out on making an appearance once this season, in Thomas Tuchel's final match against Dinamo Zagreb. The Cobham academy product has maintained a consistent presence in Chelsea's side across the two coaches and could be considered the Blues' standout central midfielder this season.

The 27-year-old believes he is starting to get a greater understanding of how to play with Jorginho and Mateo Kovacic as a result and has appreciated the role of conversations with Potter to help him kick on. READ MORE: Graham Potter sets Chelsea timeline for Kalidou Koulibaly injury return amid FC Salzburg blow  Loftus-Cheek said: "When he first came in, we had a few chats on where he sees me playing, what he thinks I can achieve as a footballer, and it's good to have that chat when he comes in, and you know where you see yourself, and it gives you a good platform. It feels very fresh when he comes in, and I think he's had these chats with every player, and I think every player has benefitted." He added: "It's a long while – 2019 – since [I was playing in midfield under Sarri]. It's good playing in midfield with Jorgi and Mateo and finding a balance with them, getting a better understanding of how they play. It's been good playing with them this season. This is the most I've played for Chelsea consistently, and that's another positive. When I look at my career, I'm trying to pick up as many positives as I can because it's been tough for me."
