A POS operator has cried out after a customer came to her shop and deposited N100,000 notes. She didn't know the cash was fake.

In a heartbreaking video, the lady broke down after finding out the truth.

"I think as a POS operator, you should learn how to identify fake money easily. It is strong and white", someone reacted.

No More Twitter Now Space X

The change from Twitter to X is a massive shock factor because the name and logo have stayed practically the same since its inception back in 2006, so it's a massive change for the user base, everyone who works at X, and the advertisers."
Luke Lintz, CEO of digital marketing and social media company HighKey Enterprises, said that Musk's strategy with the changes he makes is to get free media attention and free publicity.

"I think Elon's thoughts around marketing decisions for the company involve 'what is the most shocking thing we can do with our companies to get free media attention,'" Lintz said.

Eyeing the positive results of the name swap, Lintz said that it prepares the users for further major changes. Musk is aiming to turn X into a decentralized blockchain and to be the first large social media platform to do so. Toward that end, Musk has expressed his desire for an uncensored, free speech townhall platform that aligns with the decentralized social media concept.

But Lintz acknowledged the negative aspects of the name change.

"Elon will inevitably have backlash from some of the user base that has been die-hard fans of Twitter since 2006 and could feel that Elon is stripping away the components that made Twitter great," Lintz said. Further, the move could easily impact advertisers, who have already been exiting Twitter since Musk took control.

"Upon Elon taking over and making many abrupt changes since late 2022, he lost many of the major advertisers on Twitter," Lintz added. "The reason for these losses was mainly because of the uncertainty the advertisers had with the content that may be published and the reputation of Twitter. This transition to X could easily lead to further uncertainty for advertisers, causing a larger drop-off and more business losses."

Cute Abiola To Be Prosecuted For Wearing Police Uniform In Skit — FPRO

PHOTOS: Cute Abiola To Be Prosecuted For Wearing Police Uniform In Skit — FPRO

The Nigeria Police Force has said it would punish skitmaker Abdulgafar Ahmad aka Cute Abiola for wearing a police uniform in his skits and for desecrating the Nigeria Police Force uniform in the process.

This was made known in a statement signed by Force Public Relations Officer, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, and shared on Thursday.

Adejobi said, “In as much as the law grants Nigerians the right to enjoy their fundamental human rights, the same law prohibits an individual, under whatever guise, from rubbishing the police institution or grossly violating its provisions with regards to the use of uniforms.
“We, therefore, vehemently condemn the contemptuous act displayed by comedian Abdulgafar Abiola, popularly known as "Cute Abiola," in two recent skits posted on his social media handles on 20th and 24th July 2023. The skits in question show a highly disrespectful and derogatory portrayal of the police uniform, an action that is in direct violation of Section 251 of the Criminal Code and Section 133 of the Penal Code Law. Such acts are not only offensive but also undermine the integrity and dignity of the men and women who wear the uniform in service to the nation.

“Abdulgafar Abiola will be investigated and possibly prosecuted for his deliberate acts as the NPF had already warned skit makers and filmmakers to desist from desecrating their uniform or accoutrements. The Force is committed to upholding the sanctity of the uniform and will pursue due legal process to ensure accountability for any individual or entity that seeks to bring disrepute to the uniform or the institution it represents. We call on all members of the public, including media personalities, to exercise their freedom of expression responsibly and avoid engaging in actions that could erode public trust in our revered law enforcement institutions.”

Forgive Davido, He now realized he's wrong.

Out of ego or hesitation, even though they know their mistake. And the even worse case is when one is not even ready to accept his/her mistake. Such wrong attitudes are the reason for sour relationships. We can’t have healthy relationships if we don’t learn how to handle mishaps and humbly ask for forgiveness. Islam greatly stresses the essence of apology. It not only emphasizes verbally but we do find such practical examples in many places. One of the examples is, when the brothers of Prophet Joseph apologized to their father prophet Yaqoob, saying that

“oh our father, seek refuge for us, for verily we are in the wrong.”

Parts of Apology:

Just saying the word sorry isn’t enough, the apology has three parts.

1)      Say sorry.

2)      Accept your mistake/fault.

3)      What should you do in return to fulfill the loss or feelings?

All of the three parts are compulsory, and your apology is incomplete if you miss any one of them.  Most people miss the third part. They do say sorry and do accept mistakes but forget to fix the trouble they created.

“It is not lawful for a Muslim to desert (stop talking to) his brother beyond three nights, the one turning one way and the other turning to the other way when they meet, the better of the two is one who is the first to greet the other.” [Bukhari]

“Pardon them and overlook – Allah loves those who do good” (Qur’an 5:13)

Attitude towards Apology:

Often it happens we get hurt, or someone displeases us. And our habitual attitude towards such conditions is harboring hatred and anger against that particular person. There have too many negative spiritual, moral, and health effects. Following the Sunnah of Prophet Mohammad ( SAWW), our approach should be positive. We must develop the habit of forgiving gladly and voluntarily. Especially if some are asking for forgiveness and are sorry about his/her act. One must never refuse to accept the apology. Keeping in mind that forgiveness is one of the greatest attributes of our great creator ALLAH, He wants to see the reflection of this quality in his man too. So we must forgive, even if the other person is not sorry. It not only pleases ALLAH but releases us from unnecessary mental stress.

if the other person is not sorry. It not only pleases ALLAH but releases us from unnecessary mental stress.

“Those who control their anger and are forgiving towards people; Allah loves the good.” (Qur’an, 3: 134)

See the beautiful verse! What we get in reward of pardoning and forgiving people from ALLAH S.W.T! Along with otherworldly benefits, one attains love of ALLAH. You get the love of Lord of Lords in return for letting the hatred and anger go of your heart. Isn’t it an excellent deal?
In other words, it’s a trade of love, with ALLAH and people also!
May Allah forgive us as we forgive Davido and pray for him.

Yours Faithfully,

‘Chaos’: Tower Hamlets housing service ‘near collapse’ with families housed in B&Bs

An east London council has left homeless families living in hotels for six months because its housing service is “near collapse”, according to a number of staff members who work there.

The Observer understands from multiple employees that Tower Hamlets council employs inadequately trained staff to work in the department, and that these workers have been issued with scripts to use on the phone to try to put homeless people off seeking council help.

In a letter of complaint submitted to the mayor of Tower Hamlets last month and signed by the vast majority of the council’s homelessness team, housing staff warned that the housing service is “near collapse” due to a mixture of unprecedented demand and a “complete disconnect between managers and officers”.

“Homeless guidance and legislation clearly states that hotels and B&Bs should be a last resort, and applicants should not be placed there longer than six weeks,” the letter reads. “We have nothing else to offer clients but hotels and B&Bs, and we are exceeding the six weeks, with many applicants being placed in these unsuitable accommodations for more than six months.”

The complaint also stated that there are “currently over 1,200 unread emails” in certain team inboxes, many of which are urgent requests for help from residents who are homeless or are at risk of homelessness.

Russian missile strikes on Odesa kill one person and damage cathedral

A new wave of Russian strikes on Odesa has killed one person and damaged a historic cathedral, as missiles again rained down on the southern Ukrainian city.

Authorities said 22 people were injured in the attacks in the early hours of Sunday, including a number of children. One strike hit the Transfiguration Cathedral, which was built in the late 18th century, destroyed under Joseph Stalin and then rebuilt in the early 2000s.

Russia has been pounding the port city for a week after pulling out of the Black Sea grain initiative last Monday, a deal that allowed for Ukrainian grain to be shipped around the world from Odesa.

Since then, the Russian military has said it intends to destroy Ukraine’s Black Sea port infrastructure, and that all ships bound for Odesa may be considered parties to the conflict and thus legitimate targets.

The Ukrainian military said Russia used Iskander, Kalibr, Onix and other missiles in the strikes on Sunday. Some were intercepted by air defence systems but several got through.

Oleh Kiper, the Odesa regional governor, said six residential buildings had been damaged or destroyed in the strikes on Sunday morning.

Oleksiy Danilov, the secretary of Ukraine’s security council, wrote on Facebook: “The main purpose of the Russian missile attacks on Odesa and the region is an attempt to cut off Ukraine’s access to the Black Sea, and to use intimidation to prevent and neutralise international efforts to restore the functioning of the grain corridor.”

“These are still relatively early days of the counteroffensive. It is tough,” he said, adding: “It will not play out over the next week or two. We’re still looking I think at several months.”
